Have fun. Be challenged. Explore your creativity.

That's the thinking behind the summer workshops at The Art Institute of Portland. In five days, you'll discover ways to use design solutions to attract attention, inform, and educate. You'll get a sense of how to apply a variety of technologies to make it all happen, with faculty who can help you see the big picture. Plus, you'll meet new friends and get your hands on some pretty cool projects. Remember, this is also a great opportunity to see what's possible and how it feels to be working in the creative and applied arts.

Advertising

Advertising is an art, a business, a necessity. Advertising can be used to strengthen reputations, attract new customers, introduce new products, or relay information. It can sell shoes, it can stop traffic - it can launch a career, it can lay an egg - it can boom, it can bomb. It's advertising and it is a part of every life, every day. The Art Institute of Portland is the only accredited college in Oregon to offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising. Our program is crafted to teach students the business and art of advertising: the history, the product, the techniques, and the impact of an industry that pervades our daily lives.
